In this episode, I am happy to introduce to you Robina Singh where we talk about women, sports and leadership. Many of us as women leave aside the importance of sports in our progress and leadership. I had this wonderful conversation with Robina on this topic and here it is for our wonderful listeners.
About Robina Singh- National Director at Ascend, the largest Pan-Asian leadership non-profit organization in North America. Prior to venturing into the nonprofit world, Robina worked at the United Nations (UN) Headquarters as a Program Officer for the International Labor Organization (ILO) and was part of the delegation representing the organization at the General Assembly, the Security Council, and several other high-level meetings. She has served on the board of the UNA-USA Westchester Chapter the Communications Committee Chair. Her passions include coaching students and young professionals and advising mission-based nonprofits. Growing up in India, she was trained in the sport of competitive badminton and had the tremendous honor of winning several district-level championships, and is an advocate for the importance of gleaning life and leadership lessons from sports. She resides in Westchester County, NY with her beloved pet guinea pigs and is an animal lover, through and through. She holds a master’s degree in international affairs and a bachelor’s degree in industrial/organizational psychology.
